R.K. JAIN: George won't take money. He won't
take money.
TEHELKA: Haan?
R.K. JAIN: George is not like…Yashwant Sinha
takes money openly.
TEHELKA: Haan?
R.K. JAIN: Yashwant Sinha takes money.
TEHELKA: Haan.
R.K. JAIN: George doesn't take money.
TEHELKA: His image…yeah, yeah… very socialist background
and everything all that?
R.K. JAIN: It's not easy to give money to George.
TEHELKA: Hmm.
R.K. JAIN: I told you that day also.
TEHELKA: Yeah, yeah, you told me the same.
R.K. JAIN: He does limited work and he's not
very keen of having commission and all.
TEHELKA: But Yashwant Sinha will take money?
R.K. JAIN: Haan?
TEHELKA: Yashwant Sinha?
R.K. JAIN: Haan. Yashwant Sinha takes
money. Digvijay Singh takes money. Sharad Yadav takes money.
PASWAN takes money.
TEHELKA: If I will give you.
R.K. JAIN: Yeah.
TEHELKA: You done any big work too?
R.K. JAIN: Yeah, yeah. I got loan. Just by chance
I told you that day, I got loan from Yashwant Sinha to one
of my brothers. 30 crores, just I think it has to be opened
now within four-five days.
TEHELKA: Okay.
R.K. JAIN: I got... Yashwant Sinha have very
good… terms and conditions with one of my colleague MP.
TEHELKA: Okay, Okay.
R.K. JAIN: He will... he's a BJP MP.
TEHELKA: What is his name?
R.K. JAIN: He's Rudi.
TEHELKA: Okay. Which State? Bihar?
R.K. JAIN: Yeah. There are numbers… that's what
I... you know...
TEHELKA: Sir, in 30 crores slot how much you paid?
R.K. JAIN: Haan?
TEHELKA: To Yashwant Sinha?
R.K. JAIN: What this... getting this know… this
was my own group. One of my company having a joint collaboration
with an Italian company.
TEHELKA: Okay, Okay.
R.K. JAIN: Sorry Korean company. The plant is
in Surat. All the machinery was given by the plant people.
TEHELKA: Hmmm.
R.K. JAIN: And here we do the operations. We
have expanded on it. That is why, whatever we had to give...
our MP was there at the time. Still I paid him 50 lakhs of
rupees.
TEHELKA: Yashwant Sinha?
R.K. JAIN: Because it was my own work, not a
party man.
R.K. JAIN: Why do you… you are not concerned.
You see Yashwant Sinha is not a honest man.
TEHELKA: Haan.
R.K. JAIN: He takes money from everybody.
TEHELKA: Okay.
R.K. JAIN: Everybody in the sense whom... with
whom he has a little rapport… good rapport with, he'll take
money. It's not only that. In George Fernandes… there are
certain difficult officers and difficult ministers are there.
TEHELKA: Okay.
R.K. JAIN: There you cannot approach him. But
Ranjan Bhattacharjee can be... can be approached by 15 people.
TEHELKA: Hmmm.
R.K. JAIN: But… you see like Yashwant Sinha
also can be approached by different…
TEHELKA: People.
R.K. JAIN: You should always need a man who
is... because this will help you in the long run. tomorrow
after three months you are well into the job; you have already
paid money for the first job. Your second job will go very
slowly. Because your channel is already opened through somebody.
But you have got your one job done through Bangaru Laxman
Next time you have another job then Yashwant Sinha will say,
"My foot, bastard! Every time he goes to Bangaru Laxman what
do I do? I am not getting my share." So it is always better
to have a connection where you know that the minister…the
man who is doing the job is getting the money.
TEHELKA: Okay.
R.K. JAIN: …Ten lakhs to five lakhs.
TEHELKA: Yeah, yeah.
R.K. JAIN: Five lakhs for a man who will take
you there.
TEHELKA: Yeah.
R.K. JAIN: And one lakh give for the party.
That's what we talked about. But for Yashwant Sinha if we
clinch, it will be little more. Then it is better.
TEHELKA: How much more?
R.K. JAIN: It depends upon… if you have big
work; if you have a small work, 15 should be all right. Let
it go at that.
TEHELKA: No, this is not a big work. This is small
work.
R.K. JAIN: Then let it go there.
TEHELKA: Ten lakhs?
R.K. JAIN: [nods his head]
TEHELKA: Plus five lakhs to that MP. Which MP?
R.K. JAIN: Rudi.
TEHELKA: Okay, done. In his home?
R.K. JAIN: Now, I have to tell him now, na?
Now the last time we talked...
TEHELKA [interrupting]: Can we go with
money inside his ministry? There's checking...
JAIN: He won't discuss about the money and all that
in front of you. The money will be given separately.
TEHELKA: To that MP?
JAIN: The money will be given to the MP to be given
to Yashwant Sinha.
TEHELKA: Haan, haan.
JAIN: The money given to Yashwant Sinha, you will come
to know about at the meeting.
TEHELKA: Haan.
JAIN: Now if Yashwant Sinha will happily listen to
your talk, offer you tea and coffee and talk about supporting
you... when you come out from meeting him you know that.
JAIN
[continuing]: …then naturally I will have to give him
the money to the MP.
TEHELKA: Yeah, yeah.
